Hungarian PM: West misses opportunity to conclude peace agreement on Ukraine
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that the West missed the opportunity to conclude a peace agreement on Ukraine when even Russia was interested in it.
“Hungary wants to maintain economic relations with Russia and is forced to abandon them only in the spheres affected by the EU sanctions,” he noted, TASS reports.
Earlier, US journalist Tucker Carlson, who interviewed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, said that the politician does not believe in Ukraine’s victory in the conflict with Russia. Orban noted that Russia has a wartime economy, but Ukraine does not have an economy.
Orban later said that Hungary did not want to have a common border with the Russian Federation, as it remembers bad memories of the period when it shared a border with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).
