Iran declares air defense dominance in West Asia, warns against enemy missteps
A senior Iranian military leader has asserted that Iran is the "absolute power" in the air defense sector within the West Asia region.
Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard, Commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force, made the bold claim on Wednesday, stating, "it is an undeniable fact when we say that we are the absolute power of air defense in the region and have a say in it globally," Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Gen Sabahi-Fard emphasized that Iran's self-reliance in defense capabilities is well known among its adversaries, with the nation’s air defense systems being entirely designed and manufactured by Iranian experts. He highlighted the pivotal role of the eight-year war imposed by Iraq in the 1980s and directives from Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in strengthening Iran's military power.
Reaffirming the Iranian army's readiness, Sabahi-Fard stated that the Air Defense Force is in its prime condition, fully prepared to defend the country and strike at its enemies if necessary. He warned potential adversaries against miscalculating Iran’s resolve, assuring that Iran's military would emerge victorious in any conflict.
Iran’s military advancements, according to Sabahi-Fard, are a result of significant breakthroughs by Iranian experts and engineers, leading to self-sufficiency in indigenous defense technologies. Iranian officials have consistently emphasized that the country's military capabilities are solely for defense and will not be open for negotiation, with Ayatollah Khamenei frequently urging continued efforts to enhance Iran’s defense strength.
