Iran denies rift in decision-making over US talks
Iran’s government has rejected suggestions of internal divisions over its approach to possible talks with the United States, saying decision-making remains unified and coordinated.
Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said on April 28 there was “no problem” in Iran’s decision-making process, responding to comments by US President Donald Trump regarding potential negotiations with Tehran, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
Mohajerani referred to Trump’s social media posts, suggesting they may be intended to “create confusion and disperse public opinion”.
She said foreign policy decisions were made in line with national interests through the country’s established institutions, adding that there was coordination between branches of power.
“The president, as head of the Supreme National Security Council, is fully aware of matters,” she said, underscoring what she described as institutional alignment on strategic issues.
