Fire breaks out at school in Russia’s Tyumen

A fire broke out at School No. 65 in the Russian city of Tyumen on September 10, covering an area of approximately 3,600 square metres, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Tyumen Region department.

The fire engulfed the school’s roof across its entire area, the ministry said.

Emergency services managed to extinguish the open flames, while no casualties were reported.

According to the SHOT Telegram channel, the fire started at around 6:30 a.m. The blaze quickly spread across the roof, but there were no children inside the school at the time.

“The fire quickly spread across the entire roof. Fortunately, there were no children inside the school yet,” SHOT reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established. Emergency services are continuing to work at the scene.
