Pashinyan, Macron assess regional trends, Armenia-France cooperation
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed regional developments and bilateral ties during a meeting at the Élysée Palace, emphasising economic cooperation as a priority area of their relationship.
Against this backdrop, the sides highlighted Armenia’s consistent steps toward diversifying its economy. Pashinyan said construction of the Bargushat Tunnel, which will form part of the strategic North-South transport corridor, has entered its main phase, underscoring the importance of launching the construction work as soon as possible, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
Macron, for his part, stressed the importance of further developing bilateral relations across all areas in line with the bilateral declaration on strategic cooperation.
Pashinyan also emphasised the importance of deepening cooperation with France in the space sector.
The two leaders additionally discussed regional processes, stressing the importance of consistently implementing steps aimed at strengthening peace.
