Iran executes three over police killings during unrest PHOTO
Iran has carried out the death sentences of three individuals convicted of killing law enforcement officers during unrest in Qom province, Iranian news agency Fars announced on Telegram.
The incidents occurred in January 2026, when attackers using cold weapons assaulted police, resulting in two deaths. The suspects were arrested and convicted, including under the charge of “moharebeh” (waging war against God).

The Supreme Court upheld the sentences, which were executed after all legal procedures were completed.
The executed include Mehdi Kasemi, son of Asgar, and Saleh Mohammadi, son of Mehdi, sentenced to "qisas" (retribution) and execution for "moharebeh", as well as Said Davudi, son of Ramazan, sentenced to execution for moharebeh, according to the agency.
