Iran may ink several energy deals with Russia

Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Ahmad Asadzadeh has said that his country is going to conclude several agreements with Russia in the oil and gas sector within the next six months.

“In the course of recent negotiations between Russia and Iran, good progress was made on the implementation of the memorandum with [Russian energy giant] Gazprom. I hope that within the next six months it will be possible to conclude several agreements,” Gazeta.ru quotes Asadzadeh as saying.

According to him, thanks to the situation in the energy market, Moscow and Tehran can unite even more by implementing joint projects in the gas, oil and petrochemical sectors.
