Iran to respond to pressure with "tit-for-tat" measures, lawmaker says
Iran will respond to pressure with reciprocal measures in both military and diplomatic arenas, a senior Iranian lawmaker said, amid ongoing tensions between Tehran and Washington.
Ebrahim Rezaei, the official spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy, said Tehran’s approach is based on “action in response to action," Caliber.Az reports.

“During the military war, our tactic was ‘an eye for an eye,’ and in the diplomatic war, it is ‘action in response to action,’” Rezaei wrote on the social media platform X.
He also criticised the United States and dismissed what he described as “bluffing” by the U.S. administration.
“Do not believe the bluff of the failed president — time is working against the Americans,” Rezaei said. “If they want an agreement, let them negotiate; if they want gasoline at $6 a gallon, let them keep standing there and bluffing until the grass grows under their feet.”
Rezaei stressed that Iran “will not bow to pressure and threats,” signaling Tehran’s continued hardline stance in its dealings with Washington.
