Qatar, China review regional security, bilateral relations

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has arrived in Beijing for an official visit and has held talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

The visit will continue until September 8, according to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.

The two sides discussed strengthening strategic relations and expanding economic and investment cooperation. They also discussed key regional developments, as well as security and stability in the region.

Al Thani said Doha wanted to take its relations with Beijing to a new level.
