Sweden to acquire Lockheed Martin’s Himars systems in $729 million deal

Sweden has decided to buy Lockheed Martin’s HIMARS artillery rocket system in a deal worth around 7 billion Swedish crowns ($728.8 million), Defence Minister Pal Jonson said on September 7.
The deal will include around 10 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), along with ammunition, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
Deliveries are expected to begin in 2027.
The ammunition will be produced in Sweden by Saab in cooperation with Lockheed Martin.
