Iran urges Germany to take responsibility for two world wars
Iran’s embassy in Finland has called on Germany to reconsider its foreign policy, engage in talks with Russia, and acknowledge historical responsibility for the two world wars.
The diplomatic mission published a series of political statements directed at German leadership on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.
The statement said Germany should immediately begin serious negotiations with the Russian Federation and warned against transforming the country’s automotive industry — including companies such as Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz — into a sector producing components for drones and military equipment, stressing that “money is not everything.”
Germany must enter into serious negotiations with the Russian Federation immediately.

It also asserted that Germany should “not return to the use of nuclear power plants.”
“Germany should acknowledge its historical responsibility for the two World Wars and continue learning from that past in shaping its foreign policy, including its reckless interference in West Asia. Germany must no longer hold Europe and the wider world hostage through failed foreign policies and double standards. Germany must strive to rediscover strategic independence and responsible political leadership,” the statement read.
