Israel launches attack on Gaza Strip PHOTO
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) has started attacks on the Gaza strip after radicals have made earlier attempts to launch rocket strikes on Israeli territories.
Israel’s army press service announced this early on November 4 on its official Twitter account [later editing the post], stating "IDF is attacking the Gaza strip at this moment".
The military reported, that "aircrafts struck an underground military object in the central parts of the Gaza strip, where the development and production of missiles for the Hamas organization are carried out".
"The attack was in response to missile fire on Israeli territories launched from the Gaza stripe", the army wrote.
According to the Maariv publication, this has been the first such military operation since August 2022, when the Israeli military carried out the "Sunrise" operation against the "Islamic Jihad" radical movement in the strip from August 5 to 7.
The previous attempts of striking Israel from the Gaza strip ended in three rockets exploding on the territory of Gaza with one rocket having been intercepted by the Israeli air defence system.
In response to the rockets launched from Gaza into Israel tonight, we targeted a Hamas underground site in Gaza used as a rocket development & manufacturing complex.
