Israeli air atrike on Jabaliya refugee camp kills eight Including child
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) conducted an air strike on a refugee camp in Jabaliya, located in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of eight people, including a child.
The air strike targeted a house in the camp, which had people inside at the time of the attack, Caliber.Az reports, citing a Lebanese TV channel.
The incident adds to the growing tensions in the Middle East, which sharply escalated following an infiltration by militants from the radical Palestinian movement Hamas into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023. The militants carried out attacks on residents of border settlements and took hostages.
In response to the infiltration, Israel declared a complete blockade of Gaza and launched air strikes against the Strip, as well as parts of Lebanon and Syria, before commencing a ground operation in the enclave. Clashes have also erupted in the West Bank, further intensifying the conflict in the region.
