Israeli airstrikes hit deep Lebanon, including arms depot near Beirut
On the night of September 24 to 25, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued to strike targets in southern and deep Lebanon.
The IDF struck a target about 20 kilometres from Beirut, in the Saadiyat area. Lebanese security sources said the target was an arms depot, Caliber.Az reports, citing Jewish media.
The Israeli army attacked targets in the village of Juya, near the town of Sur (Tyre), as well as other areas in southern Lebanon.
Around 3:40, Lebanese media reported that the IDF Air Force attacked targets in Bekaa, in eastern Lebanon.
Another strike was later reported in the town of Sukhmour in western Bekaa. Lebanese sources: at around 4:00 am, the IDF Air Force attacked targets in different parts of the Bekaa, in eastern Lebanon - in Haus al-Rafiq, al-Hader, Rayyak, Sahl Sarin and Sahl al-Laboueh.
On September 24, tens of thousands of people fled southern Lebanon as Israel continued to pound Hezbollah targets with an aerial offensive that has killed more than 550 people.
Hezbollah fought back by launching a new barrage of cross-border fire, while Israel’s military said it would accelerate its campaign against the Iran-backed militant group.
