Israeli military kills Hamas financial network chief, deputy in Gaza strike PHOTO
The Israeli military says it has killed the head of Hamas’ funds transfer network and his deputy in an airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip, in coordination with the Israel Security Agency (ISA).
In a joint statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and ISA said the strike, carried out on June 7, targeted Khader Jamasi, described as the head of Hamas’ financial transfer system, and his deputy, Muhammad Harazin, Caliber.Az reports.
The IDF said both men were key operatives responsible for moving “tens of millions of dollars” to Hamas’ military wing through a network of money exchangers operating across the Gaza Strip. According to the statement, these funds were used to pay salaries to militants and support the planning and execution of attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.

The military also said the two men were part of a broader group of Hamas financial operatives that had been targeted during the course of the conflict, naming previous strikes on senior figures involved in the group’s funding mechanisms.
Israeli authorities said precautions were taken ahead of the strike to reduce civilian harm, including the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance.
The IDF added that its Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area and continue operations aimed at addressing immediate security threats, in line with existing ceasefire arrangements.
