Japan identifies seven areas of assistance to Ukraine
The Japanese government has identified seven areas of assistance to Ukraine.
These areas include improving the humanitarian situation in the country, developing agriculture and livestock farming, economic recovery, industrial modernization, development of digital technologies and biotechnology-based production, the Japanese publication Sankei Shimbun writes.
The parties plan to sign more than 20 cooperation documents. One of them will involve the transfer of 10 billion yen (approximately $67.5 million) to Ukraine for the creation of a telemedicine system.
On February 19, Tokyo will host the “Conference on Promoting the Economic Recovery of Japan and Ukraine,” in which Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal will take part. In total, about 300 representatives of the two countries will take part in the conference.
