Two injured in shooting outside mosque in Sweden

Two people have been injured in a shooting outside a mosque in Örebro, central Sweden, police have said.

Authorities are treating the incident as attempted murder, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, though police have not disclosed the severity of their injuries.

According to public broadcaster SVT, citing an eyewitness, one of the victims was shot shortly after leaving the mosque following Friday prayers.

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
