Kremlin announces agenda of upcoming Putin-Erdogan discussions in Sochi

Russian President’s Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that President Vladimir Putin will discuss the development of bilateral relations and the export of Ukrainian grain with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi.

“This is a bilateral visit, agreed on in Tehran. First of all, these are different dimensions of our bilateral relations. This is a discussion of regional conflicts and an exchange of views on both Ukrainian and Syrian affairs... There will be an exchange of views on how the first delivery of grain from Odesa was operated,” Peskov said during a press briefing, Gazeta.ru informs.

He noted that the meeting of the two leaders is a good opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the mechanism that was created thanks to the Istanbul agreements. This agreement is an example of how to negotiate, according to Peskov.

The meeting between Putin and Erdogan in the Russian city of Sochi is scheduled for August 5.
