Lithuanian parliament bans Russian gas imports

Lithuania has banned the import of Russian natural gas, with the exception of transit to Kaliningrad Region.
The Lithuanian Seimas approved the relevant amendments. This decision was supported by 123 parliamentarians, with two abstaining, Interfax reports.
From now on, the Lithuanian gas transportation system and the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal of the Lithuanian Klaipeda nafta (controls, among other things, the oil terminals in the port of Klaipeda) will be available only to suppliers from countries that do not pose a threat to Lithuania's national security.
