Poland: Light aircraft plunges near residential area, two die Video

A light aircraft has crashed in Krzycko Wielkie, Greater Poland, killing two people.

The plane came down near residential homes, authorities say, Caliber.Az reports via Polish media.

The incident reportedly occurred close to Spokojna Street, where the aircraft fell onto a private property and caught fire. Emergency services were called to the scene and had to extinguish the blaze and rescue the victims, who were trapped in the cabin.

Several units from both the state and volunteer fire services attended the scene. Police and prosecutors are now investigating the crash.

The area surrounding the crash site includes mainly single-family homes and a large packaging factory. There are no reports of injuries among local residents.
