Ukrainian police detain possible perpetrator of Lviv blast Updated
Law enforcement authorities have detained a woman suspected of involvement in the explosions that occurred in Lviv on the night of February 22, said Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
According to Klymenko, the arrest took place around 10:20 a.m. in one of the district centers of the region, Caliber.Az cites Ukrainian media.
“We did everything possible and impossible to identify those responsible for this terrorist act,” he said.
Lviv Regional Prosecutor Mykola Mereta added that the detained person may be the direct perpetrator of the crime.
The main version of the investigation suggests that Russia is the instigator behind the attack.

On the night of February 21 to 22, a terror attack occurred in Lviv, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old police officer and injuries to 24 others, the press service of the Lviv Regional Police said on Facebook.
According to law enforcement, at around 00:30 local time a report was received about a break-in at a store on Danylyshyn Street. When the first patrol unit arrived, an explosion occurred. A second blast followed shortly after the arrival of another police team.
Preliminary investigations indicate that improvised explosive devices were used. A police vehicle and a civilian car were damaged in the blasts.
Investigators, bomb disposal experts, and other emergency services worked at the scene. Medical assistance is being provided to those injured.
