Orban: EU's Kallas attempts to beat Russia, something Napoleon, Hitler couldn't

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban joked that the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, is trying to achieve what neither Napoleon nor Hitler could — defeating Russia on the battlefield.

He made the remarks during an pre-election event in Békéscsaba, broadcast by Hungarian channel M1.

“Brussels wants to defeat Russia on the battlefield. Napoleon and Hitler tried this and failed. Well, maybe Kaja Kallas will succeed,” Orban said.

According to Orban, many European politicians, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, mistakenly believe that the Russian economy “cannot withstand this,” whereas in reality, it is the EU economies that may face the consequences.
