Lithuanian president arrives in Kyiv on surprise visit
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda arrived in Kyiv on June 28 on a surprise visit.
He is expected to meet with Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelenskyy, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the press service of the Lithuanian leader.
In Kyiv, the Lithuanian president will also participate in the events on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the Ukrainian Constitution.
Gitana Nauseda during a meeting with Zelenskyy will discuss the agenda of the NATO summit in Vilnius, which will be held on July 11-12. The leaders will also pay attention to the issue of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU, assistance of Lithuania and the European Union.
The Lithuanian president arrived in Kyiv from The Hague, where he discussed support for Ukraine. From Kyiv, Nauseda will travel to Brussels, where a meeting of the Council of European Leaders begins tomorrow.
