Finnish fighter jet crashes near Rovaniemi Airport Pilot ejects safely

A Finnish Air Force F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet crashed on a military site near Rovaniemi Airport on May 7 morning.

The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. (GMT+3), Caliber.Az reports via Finnish media.

The pilot of the aircraft was able to eject successfully before the crash and was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for a medical check-up. Thankfully, no injuries were reported at the crash site. Authorities, including police and search-and-rescue teams, arrived promptly at the scene. The area around the crash site was temporarily cordoned off as a precautionary measure while the investigation began.
