Media: Trump may force Ukraine into peace deal with Russia Without offering security guarantees
US President-elect Donald Trump’s transactional approach, coupled with his desire to avoid conflict and his disdain for democratic allies, leads the US to forge a new major agreement with Russia and China.
The US effectively cedes influence in Russia's and China's respective regions while focusing on asserting dominance within its own sphere—pushing Mexico and Canada, attempting to reclaim the Panama Canal, and eyeing control over Greenland, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Trump imposes a peace agreement on Ukraine without offering security guarantees, while relaxing sanctions on Russia and extending a warm invitation to Vladimir Putin at Thanksgiving dinner in Mar-a-Lago.
A potential deal with China could involve easing tech restrictions and tariffs in exchange for increased Chinese purchases of US goods and favourable deals for American companies like Tesla in China. Trump also signals a lack of commitment to defending Taiwan, leaving US allies in Europe and Asia to fend for themselves in a new environment of uncertainty. Western allies are embroiled in a trade war, while political instability grows across Europe, fueled by the rise of populist movements aligned with both Trump and Putin. A ceasefire is reached in Ukraine, but widespread concern lingers in Europe about Russia potentially resuming its aggression.
Trump repeatedly questions America's commitment to defending its allies. In response to the chaos in the West, China, Russia, or North Korea — or a combination of these powers — attempt to exploit the situation by initiating military actions in Asia and Europe. However, they misjudge the situation. Democratic nations in Asia and Europe resist, and eventually, the US is drawn into the conflict, mirroring the involvement of America in two world wars.
