Media: US, Arab nations hold secret talks with Iran
The United States government, in collaboration with several Arab nations, is secretly negotiating with Iran to establish a ceasefire and restore peace in the Middle East.
The initiative aims to reconcile all parties "simultaneously on all fronts," Caliber.Az reports via Israel's Channel 12.
While Israel is not directly involved in these negotiations, it has been kept informed of their progress. The channel notes that the Israeli government has yet to communicate its stance to the US regarding these discussions.
“We are currently in a position of strength; the ceasefire will be on our terms, including the withdrawal of [Hezbollah] forces from the Litani River and the destruction of all military infrastructure of Hezbollah near the border,” a senior Israeli official told the channel.
A senior Western diplomat informed the channel that Lebanon's position has begun to shift towards reconciliation with Israel and a withdrawal from demands for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, especially following Israeli airstrikes in Beirut.
