Netanyahu hospitalised for dental treatment, his office says
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital late on May 25 for unspecified dental treatment, his office said, following reports in Hebrew media that he had been admitted.
In a brief statement, the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that the 76-year-old leader was receiving treatment but did not provide further medical details, The Times of Israel reports.
The hospitalisation comes amid heightened public attention on Netanyahu’s health in recent months, following disclosures about a eries of medical procedures.
Last month, Netanyahu revealed that he had undergone successful treatment for prostate cancer but said he delayed announcing it, claiming that Iran could have used the information for propaganda during the recent conflict.
The Israeli leader has also undergone several other medical procedures in recent years, including a pacemaker implantation in July 2023, hernia surgery in March 2024, and prostate surgery in December 2024.
