PAKAZCHAM strives to create conditions for Azerbaijani startups to appear in Dubai, Pakistan
President of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation Chamber (“PAKAZCHAM”) Khurram Bhatti has said that “PAKAZCHAM” seeks to create conditions for Azerbaijani startups to appear in the markets of Dubai and Pakistan.
“We also want to attract experts in blockchain technology, investment and venture capital to Azerbaijan, to develop start-ups here. Moreover, we want to attract start-ups from Dubai and Pakistan to Azerbaijan. The negotiations are underway,” Bhatti told Report.
The president of the chamber noted that representatives of companies on a visit to Azerbaijan are expected to meet with employees of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
“We will determine different directions with the agency how to strengthen knowledge-based start-ups in Azerbaijan,” he noted.
Bhatti said that it is planned to create a working group of representatives of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and PAKAZCHAM to expand cooperation between the two countries in information technologies.
“The working group is expected to become operational in the coming months. Its main activity will be the ICT sector,” he said.
