Pfizer chief expects big improvement in cancer treatment
President and CEO of the American multinational pharmaceutical company Pfizer Albert Bourla expects significant progress in the global community in the treatment of cancer.
“Science has matured in the field of cancer, and we will see significant improvements in existing treatment protocols in the coming years. I'm not as optimistic about other diseases, but we are close to the target for cancer," Burla told the Greek TV channel ERT3 on Sunday, TASS reports.
The head of the company also raised the issue of the coronavirus pandemic. “We should not relax and calm down, but at the moment I am not worried, as we have enough weapons in our arsenals, and I am not only talking about a vaccine, but also about therapies, with the right use of which we should not have dying people, we can prevent all deaths,” he said.
