US offers up to $10 million for information on Al-Qaeda leaders

The United States has announced rewards of up to $10 million for information leading to eight senior Al-Qaeda figures whom Washington accuses of using Iran as a safe haven to plan and conduct attacks against the United States and its allies.

The maximum reward of $10 million applies to one of the wanted individuals, while the amounts offered for the other suspects were not specified in the announcement, Caliber.Az reports.

The U.S. State Department’s Rewards for Justice programme also announced rewards for information on two senior figures from Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).

U.S. authorities accuse the AQIS leaders of involvement in planning and carrying out attacks against the United States and its allies.
