Polish MP engages with Azerbaijani Community on rights of Western Azerbaijanis PHOTO

During the exhibition "Western Azerbaijan in our cultural memory" in Poland, Ulviya Zulfigar, head of the press service of the Western Azerbaijan Community, met with Przemysław Witek chairman of the Poland-Azerbaijan parliamentary group.

Zulfigar briefed Witek on the multiple stages of deportation experienced by Western Azerbaijanis from Armenia over the last century, as well as the destruction of their rich cultural heritage in the region, Caliber.Az reports.

She emphasized that those forcibly removed from their ancestral lands possess the right to return, as upheld by international law, and expressed that Western Azerbaijanis continue to harbor hope for a return to their homeland.

In response, Witek acknowledged the significance of realizing the right of return, affirming it as an inalienable principle of international law.
