Polish Vice-Speaker calls Zelenskyy’s visit “content-free”
Krzysztof Bosak, Vice-Speaker of the Polish Sejm, has described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent visit to Poland as “content-free,” saying it attracted little interest domestically or internationally and produced no political outcomes.
“I don’t think this visit sparked any interest in Russia, Ukraine, or elsewhere abroad… No decisions were made, nothing was announced,” Bosak told Puls Radio.
He added that Zelenskyy frequently undertakes international trips to meet European leaders, so his visit to Poland should not be seen as particularly significant.
The deputy speaker also noted that despite official cordiality, bilateral relations between Ukraine and Poland have not seen substantial changes in recent times.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Warsaw on December 19, 2025, for his first in-person meeting with Poland's President Karol Nawrocki. The visit, which Zelenskyy described as opening a "new, more meaningful stage" in bilateral relations, aimed to reaffirm strategic unity amid Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine and address lingering tensions.
Both leaders emphasised solidarity, with Nawrocki calling the visit "good news for Warsaw and Kyiv, bad news for Moscow" and proof of regional democratic unity on security issues. Zelenskyy thanked Poland for its support since Russia's 2022 invasion and highlighted shared interests in defending Europe from Russia.
