President Aliyev celebrates Azerbaijan-Qatar relations in festive message to Emir
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a formal letter of congratulations to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on the occasion of Qatar’s national holiday.
According to Caliber.Az, the letter was published on the official website of the President of Azerbaijan.
In his message, President Aliyev extended his greetings both personally and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people.
"On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to your brotherly people on the occasion of the national holiday of the State of Qatar," Aliyev wrote.
He highlighted the strong ties between the two nations, emphasising the shared religious and cultural values, brotherhood, and Islamic solidarity underpinning Azerbaijan-Qatar relations.
"The level of Azerbaijan-Qatar relations, rooted in common religious and cultural values, brotherhood, and Islamic solidarity, is gratifying," he added.
President Aliyev also expressed confidence in the continued development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
"I am confident that we will continue to make joint efforts to strengthen our interstate relations, built on mutual trust and support, and to fully benefit from the potential of our mutually beneficial cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally," he stated.
Concluding his letter, Aliyev conveyed his personal wishes for the Emir’s well-being and the prosperity of the Qatari people.
"On this festive day, I wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your high state activities, and the brotherly people of Qatar everlasting peace and prosperity," he wrote.
