On May 26, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a new production facility of Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers LLC in Ismayilli District, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Honorary Chairman of the Board of Türkiye’s “Anadolu Group” Tuncay Özilhan, and General Manager of “Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers” LLC Rena Mammadova briefed the head of state on the enterprise.
Located in the village of Topchu in the Ismayilli district, this facility occupies 15 hectares and has an annual production capacity of 165 million litres. The investment value of the project is 80 million manat ($47 million). The enterprise meets international quality and safety standards and provides permanent employment for over 100 local residents. This is the second production facility of “Coca-Cola Bottlers” LLC in Azerbaijan. The products manufactured at the new facility are primarily intended for the domestic market.
Under the investment incentive certificate provided by the Ministry of Economy, the enterprise has received a 50% exemption on profit and income taxes for seven years. Additionally, it is exempt from property and land taxes, VAT on the import of machinery, technological equipment, and devices, as well as customs duties. The Azerbaijan Business Development Fund allocated a preferential loan of 10 million manat (over $5.8 million) to finance the project.
“Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers” LLC is committed to environmental protection and plans to supply part of its production energy from green sources, specifically solar panels.
The opening of this production facility in the Ismayilli district is significant for accelerating the region’s socio-economic development and realising its industrial potential. The launch of the new enterprise stimulates production localisation, technology transfer, and import substitution.
“Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers” LLC began production in Azerbaijan in 1996. To date, the company has invested $200 million in the Azerbaijani economy.
