President Aliyev names new heads for Azerbaijan's Algeria, Czech joint commissions
President Ilham Aliyev has approved changes to Azerbaijan's leadership of two intergovernmental commissions, appointing new co-chairs for the country's joint bodies with Algeria and the Czech Republic.
According to the presidential website, the president approved the composition of the Azerbaijan–Algeria intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
Under the decision, Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy was appointed as the country's co-chair of the commission. The full composition of the commission has also been published on the presidential website.
In a separate executive order signed on the same day, Aliyev appointed Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy as the country's new co-chair of the Azerbaijan–Czech intergovernmental commission on economic, cultural, scientific and technical cooperation.
The position was previously held by Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify the Czech Republic of the change.
