President Aliyev opens 30th Caspian Construction Week in Baku, highlights Karabakh revival
The 30th anniversary Caspian Construction Week (CCW) has kicked off in Baku, with a welcome speech from President Ilham Aliyev.
In his address, the president noted that this year’s 5th Rebuild Karabakh exhibition coincides with a significant period in Azerbaijan’s statehood – the 30th anniversary of the Constitution and the fifth anniversary of the historic Victory in the Patriotic War, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Aliyev emphasised that these achievements not only confirm the unbreakable will, unity, and determination of the Azerbaijani people to pursue strategic goals but also inspire a new mission – the revival of Karabakh and East Zangazur.
The head of state reminded that under the “Great Return” program, large-scale restoration and construction works are being successfully carried out in territories liberated from occupation.
According to modern urban planning concepts, new cities, schools, hospitals, transport and communication infrastructure are being built, jobs are being created, and “green energy” zones and industrial parks are being established, he added.
Aliyev noted that Karabakh is becoming not only a symbol of national pride but also a space for 21st-century sustainable development.
The president stressed that the annual Rebuild Karabakh exhibition is an important event reflecting the realities of sustainable creation, progress, and peace. Partnerships developed through the exhibition strengthen mutual trust between people and nations, create new bridges for cooperation, and turn Karabakh into a center of the sustainable development agenda.
The Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence that Rebuild Karabakh, by fostering partnerships and defining initiatives in modern development and investment, will continue to play an important role in the revival of both Karabakh and the entire region.
The event is featuring the 30th Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition – BakuBuild, the 5th International Exhibition on the Restoration, Reconstruction, and Development of Karabakh – Rebuild Karabakh, the 17th International Exhibition for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Water Supply, Sanitary and Swimming Pool – Aquatherm Baku, the 4th Caspian International Plastics and Polymers Industry Exhibition – Plastex Caspian, and the 13th Caspian International Road Infrastructure and Public Transport Exhibition – Road&Traffic.
The 30th Anniversary Caspian Construction Week is scheduled for October 14-16, 2025, at the Baku Expo Center. It draws over 380 companies from 22 countries, including Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, Türkiye, China, Russia, and the UAE. Key themes include sustainable reconstruction, green building (aligning with Azerbaijan's "Green World Solidarity Year"), and digital innovations in infrastructure. Notable sponsors include PMD Group (general) and NB Group (golden for BakuBuild).
