President Aliyev receives energy chiefs from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan for strategic talks
On March 4, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev welcomed key energy leaders including Nail Maganov, General Director of Russia’s "Tatneft," Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan’s "KazMunayGas," and Bakhodirjon Sidikov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan’s "Uzbekneftegaz."
President Aliyev marked the occasion by highlighting the beginning of a new chapter in multilateral cooperation, stressing that the groundwork for this progress had already been laid successfully, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He praised the long-standing, close production ties between the oil companies of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, noting that numerous projects had already been carried out in a bilateral format. The President emphasized the importance of aligning efforts in this expanding partnership.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the future prospects of this collaborative framework, expressing optimism about its potential to deepen economic relations among the countries.
They outlined plans to work together in key areas such as emergency response coordination, digital technology optimization, software development, joint procurement, and industrial sector growth.
The group also made it clear that this new cooperation model is open to the participation of additional international companies, underscoring the ambition to broaden its scope and impact in the future.
