On October 6, the opening plenary session of the European Political Community summit was held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took part in the session, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Azerbaijani presidential website.

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala welcomed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and other heads of state and government attending the summit.

Then the plenary session was held.

The participants took a group photo at the end of the session.

It should be noted that the European Political Community is a platform for political coordination between the continent's countries. The goal of the community is to develop political dialogue and cooperation to resolve issues of common interest, and strengthen security, stability and well–being on the European continent.

The summit is attended by the heads of state and government of 44 countries. The European Political Community summit, held for the first time, unites the leaders of European countries in the spirit of equality and unity. During the summit, an exchange of views will take place on peace and security issues, the economic situation, energy and climate, migration and mobility.
