President Erdogan: Russia not to leave Crimea

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Russia does not intend to leave Crimea.

As the Turkish leader said in an interview with the American television company PBS, he discussed this issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin back in 2014.

“Back in 2014, I had certain discussions and negotiations with President Putin regarding Crimea. And our discussions were not crowned with success. And I couldn’t force them to leave Crimea. And I think that at present this is also impossible,” Erdogan said.
