Israeli army destroys Hamas facilities in ongoing operations across Gaza Strip
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have intensified their operations across the Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas infrastructure and eliminating terrorist threats in a series of coordinated strikes.
Among the key targets was the rocket launcher used in the recent attack on the Nir Am kibbutz on August 7. The launcher was successfully destroyed, and subsequent explosions at the site suggested the presence of multiple additional rockets primed for launch into Israeli territory, Caliber.Az reports, via the IDF.
In a broader sweep of the region, IDF forces conducted targeted operations in the Khan Younis area, where they destroyed underground infrastructure, a weapons depot, and a gathering site for Hamas militants. The military also reported the elimination of several terrorist cells deemed to pose an imminent threat to Israeli security.
The IDF reiterated that its operations are part of an ongoing campaign to dismantle Hamas' military capabilities and prevent further attacks on Israeli civilians. The army emphasized that efforts would continue to focus on locating and neutralizing launch sites, command centers, and weapons storage facilities used by militant factions.
