President: Ukraine open to discussing peace initiatives from third countries
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed willingness to listen to peace initiatives from China, Brazil, South Africa, and other countries and eventually integrate them into Ukraine's peace formula.
"We are ready to hear the proposals of various countries. If Brazil and China have suggestions, we welcome them, but only based on our format," the Ukrainian leader said in an interview with foreign media, Caliber.Az reports.
President Zelenskyy expressed confidence that other nations should align with Ukraine's peace plan, as the conflict is taking place on Ukrainian territory.
China and Brazil proposed the plan in parallel to Ukraine's ongoing peace efforts based on Zelenskyy's 10-point peace formula, which includes Russia's withdrawal from Ukraine, the release of captives, restoration of territorial integrity. The document served as a basis for the global peace summit held in Switzerland in June.
