Putin calls Aliyev: Leaders discuss trade, energy, transport
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a phone conversation on October 24 to discuss the development of bilateral trade, energy projects, transport and logistics cooperation.
The phone call initiated by the Russian president followed up on the leaders’ meeting on October 9 in Dushanbe during the CIS Heads of State Council, Caliber.Az reports per the presidential website.
During the discussion, the presidents addressed a range of bilateral issues, emphasising their shared interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation.
In addition, the leaders discussed aspects of regional cooperation and the broader international situation. Both presidents agreed to maintain ongoing contacts at various levels to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
