Putin proposes to discuss developing ties with former Soviet states at Security Council
Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed to discuss the development of ties with the former Soviet Union.
He made such an offer at an operational meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council on May 15, Gazeta.ru reports.
The head of state noted that Russia and post-Soviet countries have significant competitive advantages that can help achieve positive results in many areas, especially in economic activity and the economy.
"Common transport systems, energy systems, absence of some kind of language barrier - and so on and so forth, many things," the president listed.
Putin suggested discussing measures that would allow for better results in working together for the development of the Russian Federation and its allies from the former Soviet Union.
