Pyongyang voices confidence in Russia's victory over Ukraine
Pyongyang is confident that Russia will achieve victory in its "special operation" in Ukraine and ensure international stability, North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui said at the IV Eurasian Women’s Forum.
Speaking at the session titled “Diplomacy and Geopolitics in the 21st Century: Women's Perspective on Global Challenges,” Choe Son Hui addressed the ongoing conflict, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
“The Ukrainian crisis is one of the geopolitical challenges facing the international community today, with Russia's security interests being compromised,” she said.
Choe also criticised the United States, claiming that its efforts to "ensure global hegemony" are worsening the security situation.
“We are convinced that the Russian people will prevail and establish peace and stability. The people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea express their support for the Russian people in their justified struggle,” Choe added.
Notably, the Eurasian Women’s Forum is a significant international platform that facilitates dialogue among women leaders from around the globe, allowing them to collaborate and make joint decisions on crucial matters related to international cooperation, sustainable economic development, the adoption of new technologies, healthy lifestyles, environmental safety, and the advancement of social charitable initiatives.
The Forum attracts women parliamentarians, representatives from executive authorities, international organisations, business and scientific communities, public organisations, charitable projects, and esteemed members of the global women’s movement from various countries.
The event is organised by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS).
