Qarabağ FK to continue European adventure At least in UEFA Conference League playoffs

Qarabağ FK football club of Azerbaijan has made it through to the playoffs in the European tournaments.

Based on the result of the Europa League match with Greek Olympiacos in Baku on October 13, the Azerbaijani club booked tickets for the UEFA Conference League knock-out stage regardless of the outcomes of the next two games in the Europa League, Caliber.Az informs.

The match in Baku ended in a goalless draw - 0:0, giving the sides one point each, meaning Qarabağ FK has now seven points in Group G and secured playoff participation in the Conference League with a minimum result as the group's third.

The champion of Azerbaijan will play either in the 1/8 round of the Europa League if it finishes the group in second place or in the playoffs of the Conference League if it comes in at number third in the group.

This will be the second European Cup knock-out stage qualification in the history of Azerbaijani football. Qarabağ FK played in the playoffs of the Conference League last season.

Note that the playoffs of the Europa League and the Conference League will be held on February 16 and 23, 2023. The matches of the 1/8 finals of the Europa League will be played on March 9 and 16.
