IOC representative visits Azerbaijan to discuss safe sport initiatives
International Olympic Committee (IOC) safe sport consultant, Tine Vertommen, is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
On the second day of her trip, she met with representatives from UNICEF to discuss the safety of children and teenagers in sports, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Participants in the meeting included UNICEF child protection specialist Vugar Salmanov, youth and adolescent development and skills officer Nigar Nasrullayeva, IOC certified specialist Vagif Aliyev, international programs department employee Jeyhun Rahmanov, leading consultant of the International Olympic Programs Department Lala Huseynova, and Safe Sport working group member Ayan Khankishiyeva.
The discussions focused on ongoing educational activities aimed at promoting safe sport across the capital and various regions of Azerbaijan.
