Baku welcomes European TeamGym Championship First for Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's capital once again shines as a focal point for gymnastics enthusiasts as Baku set to host the European TeamGym Championship for the first time from October 16-19.

This exciting team competition will feature performances on three gymnastic apparatus: the TeamGym carpet, acrobatic track, and mini-trampoline, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The best teams from across Europe will compete for the championship title at the National Gymnastics Arena, promising spectators a thrilling experience with the debut of this emerging gymnastics discipline.

TeamGym has been developing in Azerbaijan since 2018, and the country now boasts professional athletes, coaches, and judges in this discipline. Success in TeamGym hinges not only on individual skills but also on effective teamwork.

Teams from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, and the host nation will showcase their talents at the National Gymnastics Arena.
