Azerbaijan strengthens International cooperation in energy, anti-doping sectors PHOTO

Azerbaijan continues to expand its international partnerships through high-level meetings aimed at fostering cooperation in both the energy and sports sectors.

In Baku, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Energy Regulatory Agency, Samir Akhundov, met with a visiting delegation from Kyrgyzstan led by Bapa Zhanibekov, General Director of the Kyrgyz Energy Settlement Center JSC, Caliber.Az reports vian local media.

The two sides exchanged information on the current state of their respective energy systems and explored areas for potential collaboration. Discussions focused on frequency regulation in energy systems, automated control of energy system balance, prospects for electricity exports, and cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan also hosted a delegation from Poland to discuss anti-doping collaboration.

The visit was held within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 2025 between the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) and the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (POLADA).

The Polish delegation, headed by POLADA Director and Chair of the Monitoring Group of the Council of Europe’s Anti-Doping Convention, Michal Rynkowski, met with AMADA Executive Director Tahmina Tagi-zade. The meeting highlighted the importance of fostering a clean sporting environment and focused on expanding joint educational programs, implementing coordinated anti-doping efforts, and exchanging best practices.

Both meetings underscored Azerbaijan’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and adopting best practices in key strategic sectors.
