Azerbaijani aerobic gymnastics duo secures silver at World Games in China

Azerbaijani gymnasts Vladimir Dolmatov and Madina Mustafayeva captured the silver medal in the mixed pairs event at the World Games in Chengdu, China. 

The duo finished behind Japan’s Mizuki Saito and Riri Kitazume in the final, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

Azerbaijan is represented at the Games, which continue until August 17, by 14 athletes competing across six disciplines: acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, trampoline (tumbling), karate, wushu, and kickboxing.

The nation has so far earned four silver medals, with previous podium finishers including Irina Zaretskaya (karate), Tofig Aliyev (tumbling), the acrobatic duo Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiev, and Amin Guliyev (kickboxing).
