Russia launches missile, drone strikes on Ukraine in nighttime attack Casualties reported
On the night of September 2 to 3, Russia carried out a combined attack on Ukraine, targeting multiple regions and causing fires, structural damage, and confirmed casualties.
The Russian strike employed “Shahed” attack drones and various types of cruise missiles, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
Early signs of the assault appeared on the evening of September 2, when drones were detected entering Ukrainian airspace.
The attacks primarily targeted western Ukraine but also affected the Kyiv region, Kirovohrad, and other areas. Fires and damage were reported in Kirovohrad, Kyiv, and the city of Khmelnytskyi, with casualties confirmed by local authorities.
The Ukrainian Air Forces noted that the Russian offensive involved a combination of drones and cruise missiles, marking yet another escalation in ongoing attacks on Ukrainian territory.
